Shower Routines: Blademaiden

Some folks go with the same shower routine every day, and there's nothing wrong with that. Some of us, however, have grooming needs that are a bit more advanced.

Blademaiden, for example, is growing her hair out, has psoriasis on her skin and scalp, and her skin in general reacts poorly to, like, so many things. Because of all of those things, not every shower she takes is the same. In this video, we take you to our shower and show you around.

Treatment Day

We have seen time and time again, Davines Energizing pumps out the hair growth, but using it too frequently can dull its effects as your scalp becomes accustomed to it. For that reason, Blademaiden uses the Shampoo and Superactive leave-in treatment once a week. So long as she's going with the tingly products, she adds in Morning Shift Soap and Facial Mist for some face moisture at the end of the shower.

Light Day

After all that serious washing on the previous shower, she uses the Cleansing Nectar as both a shampoo and a body wash. The Moisturizing Balm can be used as a conditioner for hair, face and body, so a quick rub over all your parts and rinse is enough to leave you moisturized all over. For psoriasis skin, however, Blademaiden brings out the big guns with the Replenishing Butter.

Maintenance Day

For day to day washing, Melu Shampoo and Conditioner are for long hair, specifically breakage protection (works great for beards, too). For some skin soothing, she switches up the Hudson Made to the skin soothing Apothecary Rose Body Wash and Body Milk, with, like other showers, the fabulous Fulton & Roark Face Wash (marketed to man faces, but does a bang up job on makeup removing too.)

Scrub Day

A quick wash and condition, and then the point of this shower. Step out of the water, give yourself a scrubbin, but even after the sugar melts on your skin, the extra moisturizing ingredients will leave you feeling in your best skin head to toe (because it's also great on the face).
